Air compressors: Facts/Recommendations

One of the most frequently asked questions is: "What kind of air compressor works best with this system?"

There are 2 basic types to choose from, electric powered and gas powered.
You'll get more power from the gas powered models.

Of course, the amount of space available in your van is an important consideration.
We recommend at least 6 CFM, and the more the better.

Remember to not get caught up in PSI.
It's CFM that you want, as the RamAir system comes with the conversion coupler that transforms the stock 1/4" outlet to a 3/8" outlet, greatly increasing the amount of air traveling throught the duct hose.
